Animation Dialogue Course

In this lesson you will learn all about the art of Animation Pantomime, or rather, "dialogue without words". Your instructor John Pomeroy will cover how to express thoughts, ideas, and emotions through gestures, attitudes, and movement. This lesson will help you understand animation in its most basic form so that you can go on to create dynamic and engaging content.

Now that you understand how to apply acting in animation without words let’s start to apply some dialogue basics. In this lesson your instructor John Pomeroy will demonstrate basic mouth movements and articulation of vowels and constants, accompanied by gestures and attitudes. This lesson will simplify this challenging topic so you can start to apply the principles for lesson 2 and 3 with confidence.

This lesson will take you one step further in understanding and applying the principles of dialogue animation. In this lesson you will learn how to articulate dialogue and combine it with acting and emotion. You will be shown you how to give dialogue texture and prominence using key phrasing and words.

This final lesson will encompass all you have learned about pantomime and animation dialogue thus far and help you apply everything at a more advanced level. With the help of two special guests, this lesson will cover more advanced techniques in acting, phrasing, and emotion with multiple characters. You will learn how to stage interactions and acting between two or more characters and you will understand how to get the best clarity and entertainment value for a scene.
