Hey guys! I wanted to take a moment to tell you all how much I appreciate you being part of Pomeroy Art Academy. It has been a dream of mine for many years to teach people all over the world how to improve their art skills and now that I am seeing so many of you learning from the lessons we have offered it brings me great joy.
Now that the academy is underway, I would like to announce some cool things that are on the horizon for Pomeroy Art Academy. In the next year, we plan to expand our video library quite vastly. We will be offering advanced lessons in animation as well as expanding into other areas of animation such as storyboarding, character design, action analysis, animating dialogue, layout design, and much more. We will also begin offering lessons in other areas of art such as how to draw, how to paint, how to sculpt, and even how to do origami. We already have over 150 lessons in the works which you can expect to see popping up in the coming months.
Currently, we are working on lessons in drawing fundamentals. In these lessons, I am going to teach you the foundational aspects of drawing that you will build on as you grow as an artist. With these fundamentals and a ton of practice, you will have the tools you need to draw anything you want to. I will teach you about basic shapes, 3 dimensional construction, perspective, observational skills, how to use lighting to convey depth, how to draw from life, composition, and basic design principles. Artists at all skill levels will be able to benefit from these lessons and improve their draftsmanship. I will also give you assignments along the way that will challenge you and push you beyond your comfort zone, which is where the growth happens!
